Art and the Natural World |

Nature creates the most powerful landscapes with a simple brush stroke of genius. She moves quietly or with thundering force. Her moods are both tranquil and devastating.
Natural BeautyThe beauty of nature is captured in moments of time by photographers and artists. Wilderness areas which are not overrun by the human population thrive with the roar of thunderous waterfalls and intense quiet moments of perfect stillness. Volcanos erupt and the earth shakes, but the natural beauty is there in each rock, each stone, each leaf turning casually in the wind.Taking a journey with nature leads you down a path of serenity and calm. It puts life’s monkey business in perspective and resets the lens of the mind by showing all that is real and unleashed without a concern for the view of the observer. Her actions are rash and breathtaking, magical and serene all at once. |

In the quiet wilderness of natures contemplation, the ages turn slowly and even the greatest monument crumbles with the ease of her whims. The ages of old are slowly taken over by the advances of the new, for nature is always alive and thriving. Whether it is vines slowly growing over a forgotten forest floor or a sudden fire burning across a tract of land without care for the consequences, nature shows us the way of the mind and the spirit. Without compromise nature takes what she wants and preserves little, yet always gives form to new things. The animals which make their way through this maze of wilderness are usually on high alert, questing for food, for sustenance, for mates. Their fangs glisten and bare over the remnants of a carcass, and nature silences for a moment to watch the scene unfold. Moments later, forgotten, the natural and organic forces of the world move forward to find their next drama. |

Drama is everywhere in nature, she dances in the black and white spaces of electrons which make up your viewpoint. She conjures ideas out of thin air and tests them relentlessly. Each step is an evolution, a mindset and a different weight of objectives. We can only stand in awe. Even the tiniest insect goes about its daily quests with focus, intent on the next meal, the next venturing past predators that seek only to consume. Her appetites are savage, courageous and flawlessly ruthless. We can see through her eyes as we look through our own. We fly out of control and then calmly reset the course, like a pilot caught in a whirlwind. We document what we see, knowing that it will never be seen quite the same way again. Even through the same eyes the mood, the lighting, the circumstances and the exact vantage point create an ever changing documentary of what happened at one precise moment. |

We store our thoughts, our dreams our visions in a flow of fragile electrons, hoping to preserve and collect the vast database of knowledge, art, beauty and triumph that unfolds in front of us. This is nature’s spectacle. We hunt and gather, often without considering why or what it is that we are hunting, we become lost in the moment, in the grasp of some transitory emotion. In our waking moments we often forget that we are nature, unleashed, a force to be reckoned with. Our culture shows strain from neglecting the ways of those who had learned to commune with nature, to extract her divine and powerful secrets, to forge a deep bond of simple knowing with all that is around us. |

| We hunt and forage, but we are often oblivious to what that means to us. |

|
As we do these things we come across the edge of nature and man. Rarely seamless, the boundaries are often harsh and brutal, covered with the scars of conflict. Tracts of land are laid to waste as we rush to get at the hidden elemental treasures deep within. This is why we need nature art to remind us, to refresh us and to bring back at least a glimpse of what we have forgotten. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Even though we seldom find time to truly go out and immerse ourselves in the experience of the untamed, it is important to take time to honor nature, to reflect on her and to think about our place with the world around us. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

A popular form of art that is easy to see while living your daily life can be found on nature wallpaper and screensaver sites. Contemplate this and find a scene that evokes what you are feeling right now, so that you remember now and forever what it is that you truly are. |

While you cannot put a price on the beauty of nature, there are literally thousands of artists who work hard to create beautiful visions. When all is said and done, you can put a price on travel and go see some of the more spectacular locations in person. National parks are found in every state and a short trip can bring you back into tune with nature's majesty and your role as a creature on this planet. | ||||||||||||||||
